Renowned actor Abhishek Bachchan has expressed his admiration for Agastya Nanda, who will take on a pivotal role in the upcoming war film Ikkis. Directed by Sriram Raghavan, the movie depicts the life of Indian Army Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, the youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra, whose life was cut short at just 21 during the 1971 Indo-Pakistan War.
Abhishek shared a behind-the-scenes clip from Ikkis, featuring Agastya as he contemplates the significance of portraying such a legendary hero. He remarked, “Arun Khetarpal is a legendary figure. I feel extremely grateful to play him and bring his story to the audience.” Abhishek took to social media to laud Agastya's commitment, calling it a “great honour and responsibility,” and extended his wishes for success and blessings from both God and the audience.
Accompanying Agastya in the film is a stellar cast including Dharmendra, Jaideep Ahlawat, Aadyanshi Kapoor, Simar Bhatia, Ekavali Khanna, Shree Bishnoi, Sikandar Kher, and Akashh Alonia. Produced by Maddock Films, Ikkis is scheduled to be released on December 25, 2025. The film aims to commemorate Arun Khetarpal's courage and the critical events of the 1971 conflict, ensuring that his legacy endures for generations to come.
