Al-Falah University has publicly distanced itself from the two doctors apprehended in relation to the Faridabad terror investigation, emphasizing that the university has "no linkage with these individuals beyond their official roles." The institution labeled reports that connect it to the case as "unfounded and defamatory," reaffirming its dedication to ethical and lawful academic practices.
The Faridabad terror probe surfaced after authorities seized 2,900 kg of ammonium nitrate along with other explosive materials from two rented spaces associated with Dr. Muzammil Shakeel, a Kashmiri physician affiliated with Al-Falah Medical College. Furthermore, a Krinkov assault rifle and live ammunition were discovered in a vehicle related to Dr. Shaheen, another staff member at the university.
Investigators have indicated a "white-collar terror network," comprising radicalized professionals and students with purported ties to foreign operatives from countries including Pakistan. Mohammad Umar, also working at Al-Falah Medical College, is suspected of planning the Red Fort attack, allegedly executing it alone after the arrest of his collaborators.
In a statement, Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Bhupinder Kaur Anand expressed her shock and denounced the incidents. She clarified that the arrested doctors acted independently, and the university maintained no involvement in their actions outside of their employment duties. She assured that all campus laboratories and facilities are utilized solely for academic and training purposes, adhering to ethical, safety, and regulatory standards.
The university reiterated its commitment to nurturing students' educational pursuits while prioritizing peace and normalcy on the campus. Al-Falah University confirmed its collaborative stance with investigative bodies, promising to provide full support to ensure an equitable and comprehensive investigation.
Prof. Anand condemned the spread of "unfounded and misleading stories" online, asserting that such narratives aim to tarnish the institution's good name. She also noted the university's longstanding contribution to training medical professionals since its inception in 2019, enhancing the national and international healthcare landscape.
In conclusion, Al-Falah University reaffirmed its dedication to national security, unity, and the continuous education of its students, urging the public and media to verify the authenticity of claims before dissemination.
