In 2025, Rosé and Bruno Mars solidified their global appeal as their hit song “APT.” soared to the top of Apple Music’s Global Song Chart. On Tuesday, the streaming platform released its year-end statistics, revealing that this collaboration, which gained traction in 2024, maintained its chart-topping status. This achievement marks their first time scoring a year-end global No. 1.
Following closely in second place was Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s hit, “Luther.” Bruno Mars also made an appearance in third place thanks to his heartfelt duet with Lady Gaga titled “Die With a Smile.” Kendrick Lamar’s earlier chart-topper “Not Like Us” secured the fourth spot, while Billie Eilish’s beloved track “Birds of a Feather” rounded out the top five.
Lamar’s album “GNX” significantly influenced the music landscape this year, with five of its tracks breaking into the global Top 25, further emphasizing his impact on current trends.
Out of the 100 tracks listed by Apple Music, women artists accounted for 36, just shy of last year’s record of 39. Notably, seven out of the top 10 songs featured female vocals, a notable increase compared to previous years.
Moreover, “APT.” led many other Apple Music year-end lists too, topping the Shazam Global Radio Spins chart, the Top 100: Global Radio chart, and the most-read lyrics list. Rachel Newman, co-head of Apple Music, highlighted its universal appeal, noting that great music knows no boundaries.
Alongside the global charts, Apple Music also unveiled the latest iteration of Replay, its version of Spotify’s Wrapped. This feature provides fans with personal listening insights throughout the year, including newly discovered artists, favorite returns, and total listening time. For musicians, analytics about their audience growth and performance will also be shared.
Recently, Apple Music celebrated Tyler, the Creator as its Artist of the Year, following the success of his album “Chromakopia,” which garnered an impressive 4.5 billion minutes of listening from November 2024 to October 2025. Zane Lowe, Apple Music’s global creative director, commended Tyler’s groundbreaking artistry, stating that he continues to inspire fans and peers alike and will have a lasting influence.
