Aditya Dhar's film Dhurandhar has maintained its momentum as it enters its third Friday, continuing to impress at the box office. Trade sources report that the film collected Rs 22.5 crore on Day 15, bringing its net collection in India to Rs 483 crore. With these consistent earnings, it's anticipated that the film will surpass the Rs 500 crore mark domestically by Day 16.
On the global front, the film has achieved remarkable success, with a worldwide gross of Rs 710.5 crore, establishing it as one of the standout Hindi films of 2025. On Friday, overall occupancy in Hindi cinema stood at 35.95%, commencing at 16.68% in the morning, climbing to 33.96% by the afternoon, 42.86% by evening, and peaking at 50.28% during late-night shows. In terms of regions, Delhi-NCR led with 1,203 shows at 36.25% occupancy, while Mumbai had 927 shows, attracting around 36% occupancy.
With these impressive figures, Dhurandhar has become the highest-grossing film in Ranveer Singh's career, marking a significant commercial achievement after a series of average performances. It currently stands as the second-highest-grossing Hindi film of the year, trailing only Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava. The robust domestic and international collections could surpass Chhaava's lifetime total of Rs 807.91 crore. Notably, the film has already eclipsed the worldwide earnings of major hits like 2.0 and Gadar 2.
However, it still falls short of Ranbir Kapoor's Animal (Rs 553.87 crore) and last year's Stree 2 (Rs 597.99 crore) in terms of domestic earnings. The upcoming weeks lack significant Hindi releases, which should allow for ongoing success. The next major Bollywood release to watch is Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, featuring Kartik Aaryan, scheduled for Christmas, while its main competitor will be James Cameron's Hollywood film Avatar: Fire and Ash, which opened in India with around Rs 20 crore on its first day.
Set against a Pakistani backdrop, this gangster drama is the first in a two-part franchise, with the sequel set to release on Eid 2026. The cast features Ranveer Singh alongside Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Rakesh Bedi, and Sara Arjun.
