Dhurandhar is making waves at the box office with an unstoppable journey that shows no signs of deceleration. Having crossed the ₹400-crore landmark just 12 days post-release, the film is now rapidly heading towards the ₹450-crore goal, supported by robust viewer turnout and steady audience interest.
On December 13, the film recorded a notable daily earning of ₹25.50 crore, increasing its total box office haul to ₹437.25 crore. With this momentum, industry experts predict the next significant milestone could be hit in the upcoming days.
The film premiered to incredible acclaim, raking in ₹103 crore during its opening weekend. It debuted with ₹28 crore on Friday, climbed to ₹32 crore on Saturday, and peaked at ₹43 crore on Sunday, signaling a promising theatrical voyage.
In contrast to the typical drop in weekday earnings, collections remained impressively strong, with ₹23.25 crore on Monday and ₹27 crore on Tuesday. Both Wednesday and Thursday maintained this strong pace, each contributing ₹27 crore, culminating the first week at a remarkable ₹207.25 crore.
The film’s performance in the second weekend elevated Dhurandhar into a different league entirely. Collections reached ₹32.5 crore on Friday, surged to ₹53 crore on Saturday, and soared to ₹58 crore on Sunday, highlighting its exceptional draw.
The strong trends continued through the weekdays, netting ₹30.5 crore on Monday, ₹30 crore on Tuesday, and ₹25.50 crore on Wednesday, thus lifting the total earnings to ₹437.25 crore, solidifying its place among the top-grossing Hindi films.
In a remarkable feat, Dhurandhar became the first Hindi feature to surpass ₹200 crore in its second week, accomplishing this in just five days. This milestone is especially significant, achieved during standard working days, without price cuts, and despite the film being A-rated.
Industry analysts suggest that Dhurandhar has redefined standards for sustained box office success and is poised to offer tough competition to future big releases in the coming weeks.
