Dhurandhar Surpasses ₹600 Cr Globally, Ranveer's Star Power Shines

Post by : Meena Ariff

Dhurandhar is on a meteoric rise at the box office, with Ranveer Singh’s thrilling performance driving the film to astonishing heights. Consistently breaking records, the movie's impressive numbers kept climbing after its second weekend, with its second Monday earnings surpassing those of the first—a rarity in Indian cinema.

In the Indian market, Dhurandhar generated more than ₹140 crore net over its second weekend, establishing a new record for Hindi films. On Monday, it experienced a modest 50% drop, contributing ₹29 crore to its total. This brings the film's net earnings in India to ₹379.75 crore (₹455.50 crore gross), ranking it as the eighth highest-grossing Bollywood film, just behind blockbusters like Dangal and Animal.

Internationally, the film's performance is equally stellar, accumulating $16 million from abroad within four days. This impressive momentum has propelled Dhurandhar past the ₹600 crore milestone globally, achieved a total gross of ₹600.75 crore.

This milestone makes Dhurandhar the third Indian film in 2025 to surpass ₹600 crore at the global box office, a feat that outstrips major works like Padmaavat (₹585 crore) and Sanju (₹592 crore).

Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film features Ranveer Singh portraying Hamza, an Indian spy delving into the criminal underbelly of Lyari in Pakistan. It has garnered praise for remarkable performances from a stellar cast including Akshaye Khanna, Rakesh Bedi, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal. The anticipation for the sequel, scheduled for March 12, 2026, is building, promising a thrilling continuation of this riveting spy narrative.
