Emirates Unveils Special UAE Flag Livery on Airbus A380

Emirates Unveils Special UAE Flag Livery on Airbus A380

Post by : Badri Ariffin

Emirates has launched a stunning new livery showcasing the UAE flag on its celebrated Airbus A380 aircraft. This design prominently features a massive UAE flag elegantly illustrated on both sides of the aircraft fuselage in a dynamic 3D format, reflecting the unity, pride, and aspirations of the United Arab Emirates.

The fresh livery is painted onto aircraft A6-EVG and is part of Emirates’ broader initiative, ‘This Flag Will Always Fly.’ This campaign encourages citizens and residents to display the UAE flag, promoting national solidarity and unity as urged by Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum emphasized the airline's pride in fulfilling the leadership’s vision while celebrating the UAE's resilience and unity. He mentioned that every Emirates aircraft proudly displays the UAE flag on its tail, with this new livery serving as an homage to a nation that continually exemplifies ambition and success.

The airline has already deployed this uniquely designed aircraft on routes to New York and Brisbane, with plans to showcase the UAE flag on its flights to various destinations globally, allowing spectators around the world to see it soaring high.

Emirates also announced future plans to feature the same UAE flag design on its Boeing 777 fleet.

Historically, the UAE flag has been an integral aspect of Emirates’ identity, visible on the tail of each aircraft in its lineup. The airline has celebrated numerous significant national events with special liveries in the past.

For example, in 2017, Emirates rolled out a special aircraft design honoring Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan as part of the ‘Year of Zayed.’ Additionally, this year saw the launch of several aircraft liveries celebrating Expo 2020 Dubai.
