At Carthage Palace in Tunis, President Kais Saied of Tunisia welcomed Qais Mohammed Al Yousef, Oman’s Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion. The Minister's visit aligns with the Omani-Tunisian Economic Forum, which seeks to enhance bilateral cooperation. He conveyed the heartfelt regards of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, wishing the Tunisian President health and success. His Majesty also expressed hopes for Tunisia’s ongoing progress and prosperity.
In response, President Kais Saied thanked the Minister and requested that his warm regards be passed on to His Majesty the Sultan, while also wishing for continued growth for Oman. Both leaders underscored the necessity of strengthening economic relations across diverse sectors. They deliberated on initiating joint efforts to bolster trade, create investment avenues, and foster deeper economic collaboration.
The dialogue also included strategies for enhancing investment partnerships, fostering industrial cooperation, and identifying fresh avenues for trade expansion. Dr. Hilal Abdullah Al Sinani, Oman’s Ambassador to Tunisia, and Rashid Amer Al Muselhi, First Deputy Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Board, were present at the meeting. These discussions reflect a mutual commitment to cultivating a robust and fruitful relationship that supports enduring regional growth and benefits for both nations.
