Dubai’s aviation sector witnesses a vital enhancement as the ENOC Group, a premier energy provider, formalizes a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with flydubai, a local airline. This agreement is set to strengthen their longstanding partnership in aviation fuel supply and fosters opportunities for further collaboration.
Projected growth in the aviation market across the Middle East and Africa from US$34.4 billion in 2025 to US$44.7 billion by 2030 underscores the increasing need for dependable fuel solutions. ENOC Aviation, the dedicated division of ENOC, will be instrumental in facilitating flydubai’s ambitious expansion plans.
Currently, flydubai operates a modern fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft serving over 135 destinations across 57 nations. The airline aspires to bolster its fleet to more than 95 aircraft by 2025, with orders exceeding 120 Boeing 737 MAX units and 30 Boeing 787s set for delivery over the upcoming decade. This MoU guarantees that ENOC Aviation will efficiently fulfill the airline’s fuel requirements as it expands its international presence.
This year, flydubai has already launched 12 new destinations across Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, enhancing travel options and connectivity for passengers in underserved areas.
The MoU encompasses comprehensive fueling services, taking advantage of ENOC Aviation’s robust supply network which reaches over 300 airports in 28 countries, providing fuel to more than 300 aircraft daily with upwards of 3 million US gallons of jet fuel. Furthermore, the partnership includes collaborative supply chain assessments and operational support to ensure smooth flight operations through Dubai’s international aviation hub.
With a collaborative history of 15 years, ENOC Aviation is committed to underpinning flydubai’s development, assuring the airline of efficiency and dependability as it broadens its global reach.
