Etihad Airways has concluded an outstanding 2025 by winning more than 25 esteemed global awards, affirming its status as a premier airline. These accolades cover various aspects such as safety, customer service, cabin design, onboard catering, operational efficiency, and cargo operations, highlighting the airline’s comprehensive achievements during a period of significant growth and innovation.
A major milestone was reached when Etihad became only the fourth airline in the world—and the first in the Middle East—to achieve the Seven-Star Plus Safety Rating from Airline Ratings, which stands as the pinnacle of recognition in the aviation safety sector. The airline also ranked among the top five safest full-service carriers worldwide.
Etihad solidified its global standing at the World Travel Awards Grand Final in Bahrain, securing three prestigious titles: World’s Leading Airline Customer Experience, World’s Leading Airline Economy Class, and World’s Leading Airline Lounge – Business Class for its Premium Lounge at Zayed International Airport.
On the regional front, it excelled at the Middle East World Travel Awards, claiming five major awards, including Leading Airline for Customer Experience and Economy Class, in addition to accolades for Inflight Entertainment, Business Class Lounge, and Cabin Crew, acknowledging the expertise of its frontline personnel.
Further industry recognition came from APEX, which awarded Etihad Five Star Global Airline status for 2026, and the AirHelp Score 2025 that placed the airline second globally, achieving an impressive score of 8.07 out of 10 in terms of punctuality, customer satisfaction, and claims management. Additionally, Airline Economics recognized Etihad Aviation as the 100 MAE Airline of the Year 2025.
These accolades coincide with significant investments in product and service upgrades. In 2025, Etihad launched the Airbus A321LR, featuring lie-flat seating and premium service for mid-range routes, while its flagship A380 continues to offer The Residence, the only three-room suite available in commercial aviation.
From Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport, Etihad offers a seamless travel experience enhanced by its award-winning lounges and modern terminal facilities. Additional recognitions from Skytrax, Business Traveller Middle East, APEX Future Travel Experience, and The Design Air underscored Etihad’s excellence in catering, seat comfort, cabin crew service, and interior design.
The airline also earned multiple accolades for its amenity kits and cabin innovations, including recognition for children's kits, First Class designs, and improved Economy Class comfort products. Its cargo operations were similarly recognized for customer-focused and innovative logistics solutions.
Commenting on this achievement, CEO Antonoaldo Neves stated that the awards are a testament to the enthusiasm, commitment, and collaboration of the entire Etihad team, emphasizing the airline’s dedication to providing exceptional experiences on every flight.
