Etihad Airways is set to debut its A380 aircraft on the route between Abu Dhabi International Airport and Tokyo’s Narita Airport, commencing on June 16, 2026, perfectly timed for the bustling summer travel period.
Famed for its opulence, the A380 features the only three-room suite in the skies, providing guests with an unmatched flying experience to Japan.
Arik De, Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer at Etihad, noted the airline's proactive approach to rising customer demand for additional seating to Japan. He emphasized that the A380 is particularly suited for this route due to the significant business travel between the UAE and Japan, two nations with strong economic and cultural ties.
The increase in capacity also offers Japanese travelers more options to visit Abu Dhabi, whether as a stopover or a destination in its own right.
Tokyo now joins Etihad’s A380 destinations, which include London, Paris, Toronto, and Singapore. The flights are available for booking, allowing travelers to indulge in the airline’s luxurious offerings.
