Manchester City has unveiled its Annual Report for 2024–25, showcasing impressive revenues of £694.1 million, marking the third-highest in the club's history. In spite of this robust income, the club experienced a minor loss of £9.9 million during the season.
On the pitch, City secured third place in the Premier League and achieved qualification for the Champions League for the 15th year in a row. However, the team faced a trophy drought, marking the first time in eight years without silverware, largely due to injuries to key personnel.
The club continued its investment in player acquisitions, enhancing the squad throughout the season, with Erling Haaland pledging his future by signing a long-term contract, reflecting confidence in City's strategic vision and stability.
Off the field, significant changes occurred as well. After 13 years, football director Txiki Begiristain stepped down. Hugo Viana assumed the role to ensure a seamless transition, while club legend Kevin De Bruyne departed after a decade with City.
The report brought attention to advancements in infrastructure and community initiatives, including the ongoing £300 million North Stand project and a collaborative hotel venture. Rodri made history as the first City player to secure the Ballon d’Or. Momentum also grew in the club's academy, women’s football initiatives, charitable endeavors, and global social media influence, emphasizing Manchester City's long-term promise.
