India’s Defence Ministry has signed 13 new deals to quickly buy important equipment for the Indian Army. These deals, worth ₹1,981.90 crore, aim to help soldiers do better in counter-terrorism missions.
The new equipment will help improve the Army’s ability to see, move, protect, and fight better in dangerous areas. This includes things like drone detection systems, light radars, special air defense weapons, different types of drones, remote-controlled vehicles, loitering missiles, bulletproof jackets, helmets, fast-moving fighting vehicles, and night-vision devices for rifles.
All these items are made in India. The government used a fast-track method to make sure the Army got these tools quickly. The idea is to help our soldiers stay safe and be more effective during missions.
Also, India’s top defense research agency has offered 28 more types of weapons for emergency use by the Army, Navy, and Air Force. These include missiles, torpedoes, bombs, and grenades. The government has allowed the armed forces to buy such weapons quickly when needed, so they’re always ready for any emergency.
