During the trailer launch for her upcoming film Uttar, Kajol discussed the vital role of disagreements in parenting. She expressed that such discussions foster children's ability to form their own opinions and solidify their relationship with parents.
“Thank goodness my daughter isn’t here to respond. She’d definitely challenge me on this. It’s absolutely valid—arguments are essential,” Kajol noted. She further explained, “When we clash, it shows we’ve raised children capable of independent thought. I view their objections as a sign of their growth.”
Tanuja, her mother and esteemed actress, chimed in with fond memories of Kajol’s childhood debates with her. They shared a humorous exchange, where Kajol playfully insisted she never argued with Tanuja, to which Tanuja humorously disagreed.
Kajol has been in a successful marriage with Ajay Devgn for 26 years and they share two children, Nysa and Yug Devgn.
On the work front, Kajol’s recent projects include the supernatural movie Maa and Do Patti with Kriti Sanon. Upcoming titles include Maharagni: Queen of Queens, and she also hosts the chat show Too Much alongside Twinkle Khanna.
