Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau Reveal Their Relationship on Social Media

Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau Reveal Their Relationship on Social Media

Post by : Meena Ariff

After enduring months of speculation, pop icon Katy Perry and former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau have officially announced their relationship via social media. Perry took to Instagram, posting a joyful series of photos and clips, including a delightful selfie of the two grinning together while savoring sushi during their Japanese getaway.

The post, captioned “tokyo times on tour and more” — complete with heart and flower emojis omitted — features a carousel of snapshots from their trip. One recent shot showing the couple holding hands has sparked further discussions confirming their romantic status.

Trudeau also took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to share a picture featuring the couple alongside Japan's former Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and his wife, Yuko, commenting, “Great to see you @kishida230. Katy and I were thrilled to share a moment with you and Yuko.”

Fans showed their excitement online, with one posting, “OH CANADA!!! MAKING IT OFFICIAL!!!” while another expressed, “Your happiness brings us joy. Sending all the love your way!”

Rumors initially began in July when the duo was seen dining in Montreal, which was followed by Trudeau singing along during Perry's concert. They made their first public appearance together in October in Paris, celebrating Perry's 41st birthday while strolling hand in hand after a cabaret event.

Trudeau has been Canada’s Prime Minister from 2015 to 2025, leading the Liberal Party until his resignation announcement earlier this year. Perry, recognized with 13 Grammy nominations, has released seven studio albums featuring chart-topping hits like California Gurls, Hot n Cold, and Roar.
