Beginning Monday, liquor stores in Nova Scotia will temporarily offer American-made alcohol once more. This initiative involves selling off the province's remaining U.S. stock, with all proceeds designated for local food charities.
Officials clarified that these items had already been purchased, and their sale will prevent waste. The current stock is valued at around $14 million, projected to generate approximately $4 million after covering costs. Around $4 million from these sales will be donated to organizations such as Feed Nova Scotia, focusing on food security.
Earlier this year, U.S. alcohol was pulled from shelves due to tariff threats. Staff members have been busy redistributing the warehoused stock throughout the province, and customers are advised to call ahead to confirm the availability of specific products.
This limited-time restock grants residents an opportunity to enjoy American favorites while contributing to charitable causes—merging convenience with community benefit.
