Nvidia has announced the resumption of production and sales of its high-performance artificial intelligence chips to China, signaling a revival in its supply chain and global operations.
CEO Jensen Huang confirmed that the company has received fresh purchase orders from Chinese clients and is actively restarting manufacturing processes. The development comes after recent easing of US export restrictions that had previously limited advanced chip sales to China.
The move involves chips like the H200, which had been restricted due to national security concerns. While some conditions still apply, the partial relaxation has allowed Nvidia to re-enter the Chinese market, one of the largest consumers of AI hardware globally.
Despite this progress, more advanced chips such as the Blackwell and upcoming Rubin series remain restricted. Meanwhile, China continues to invest heavily in domestic semiconductor production to reduce reliance on foreign technology.
The renewed activity highlights growing global demand for AI computing power and reflects ongoing geopolitical balancing between trade opportunities and security concerns in the tech sector.
