Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed support for US President Donald Trump's new initiative, the “Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict,” describing it as a strong pathway to lasting peace for both Palestinians and Israelis. Following this, President Trump reshared PM Modi’s endorsement on his social media platform, Truth Social, without adding any additional comments.
In a post on X, PM Modi highlighted that the plan offers a sustainable approach to peace, security, and development for the Palestinian and Israeli people, while also positively impacting the broader West Asian region. He urged all parties to unite behind Trump’s proposal to resolve the conflict and secure long-term stability.
Trump's plan, supported by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, proposes a ceasefire, the release of hostages by Hamas within 72 hours, disarmament of Palestinian militants, and a gradual Israeli withdrawal from Gaza. It also includes the formation of a post-war transitional authority led by President Trump.
The plan has received backing from several world powers, including Arab and Muslim nations. However, Hamas is still reviewing the proposal, with sources indicating that discussions may take several days due to the complexities involved. Trump has given Hamas a short ultimatum to accept the plan, warning of serious consequences if they do not comply.
The endorsement from PM Modi strengthens the international support for Trump’s plan and brings additional attention to efforts aimed at ending the ongoing conflict in Gaza.
