Bhubaneswar: In a historic moment, President Droupadi Murmu addressed the members of the Odisha Legislative Assembly on the opening day of the winter session this evening. Speaking at the Assembly in Bhubaneswar, President Murmu called upon lawmakers to work with sincerity and dedication to bring happiness to the lives of common people and pave the way for a prosperous Odisha by 2036, when the state marks its centenary.
President Murmu highlighted Odisha’s abundant natural and human resources, emphasizing the state’s potential to become one of India’s leading states in development and growth. She urged legislators to focus on inclusive progress and implement policies that will benefit all sections of society.
Reflecting on her political journey, President Murmu shared that addressing the Odisha Assembly was a deeply nostalgic experience.
