Ras Al Khaimah is poised to broaden its global business presence after receiving a prominent delegation from China’s Guangdong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology. The visit, led by Deputy Director General Wang Shuping, signifies an important move towards strengthening ties between the Emirate and one of China's leading industrial provinces.
This delegation included senior representatives from the China International Small and Medium Enterprises Fair in Guangdong and was welcomed by Youssef Ismail, First Vice President of the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce, accompanied by Mohammed Al-Sabab, Deputy Director-General of the Chamber, and Eman Al-Hayyas, Director-General of the Saud bin Saqr Establishment for Youth Projects Development.
The discussions encompassed potential joint ventures in the areas of medical, manufacturing, and information technology sectors. Youssef Ismail underscored the Chamber’s commitment to attracting investors, fostering sustainable industrial expansion, and organizing events such as exhibitions and forums that position Ras Al Khaimah as a prime destination for international business endeavors.
The Saud Establishment’s dedication to supporting youth-led SMEs was also highlighted. This organization delivers extensive assistance to budding entrepreneurs, offering everything from mentorship and training to access to both local and global markets. Plans were proposed for members to partake in the forthcoming China Homelife Expo UAE, thereby connecting Emirati businesses with Chinese trade routes.
The Chinese delegation commended Ras Al Khaimah’s industrial prowess and demonstrated a keen interest in hosting significant trade exhibitions within the Emirate, showcasing Guangdong Province's advanced manufacturing skills and economic promise. They recognized the vital role of small enterprises in job creation, innovation, and empowering youth—shared priorities with Ras Al Khaimah and the broader UAE.
In an effort to continue this collaborative spirit, the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber and the Saud bin Saqr Establishment were invited to attend the upcoming 23rd China–ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) in September 2026, a significant venue for trade and economic cooperation involving over 1,500 Chinese firms. This invitation is viewed as a key opportunity to bolster bilateral trade, exchange expertise, and unveil new markets for Emirati enterprises.
This engagement solidifies Ras Al Khaimah’s determination to cultivate robust international partnerships while creating a landscape that promotes entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainable economic progress.
