Weekly Wahat Al Karama Honoring Heroes Set to Start in Abu Dhabi

Weekly Wahat Al Karama Honoring Heroes Set to Start in Abu Dhabi

Post by : Badri Ariffin

The Fallen Heroes’ Affairs Office is excited to unveil a new weekly ceremony at Wahat Al Karama, commencing on April 4, 2026. Scheduled for every Saturday at 5 PM, this event aims to reinforce key values, including pride, loyalty, and a sense of community belonging.

Attendees can expect a traditional flag salute, a military band performance, and a cavalry parade. These activities celebrate the UAE's vibrant cultural heritage while paying tribute to the nation's courageous heroes.

Aligning with the UAE Year of Family, this initiative encourages families and community members to engage with the memorial and partake in a significant national experience. It seeks to bolster social connections and promote shared values among residents.

Each part of the ceremony is rich in symbolism. The flag salute signifies national unity and pride, while the military band adds a dignified touch to formal occasions, and the cavalry parade links the UAE's historical traditions with contemporary society.

In addition to the ceremony, the Visitors Centre at the site will offer insights into inspiring narratives of national service and sacrifice for all visitors.

With this weekly event, officials aim to establish Wahat Al Karama as a prominent cultural and tourism hub in Abu Dhabi, while nurturing a reinforced national identity and encouraging community involvement.
