AirBorneo has warned passengers to expect additional flight delays, cancellations and schedule changes over the coming days as maintenance work on several aircraft continues to affect operations across Sabah and Sarawak. The airline has advised travellers to check their flight status before leaving for the airport.
According to AirBorneo, the disruptions have been affecting services since June 5. The airline said the situation is the result of unscheduled technical rectification work on several aircraft, ongoing scheduled maintenance and operational as well as crew duty requirements.
AirBorneo said passenger safety remains its highest priority. Aircraft requiring technical attention have been temporarily removed from service as a precaution until engineers confirm they are fully safe to operate.

The airline explained that several aircraft are undergoing maintenance and technical repairs at the same time, leaving its operating fleet temporarily reduced. As a result, passengers may continue to experience schedule adjustments, flight delays and cancellations until more aircraft return to service.
AirBorneo said its teams are working around the clock to minimise disruptions and rebook affected passengers on the earliest available alternative flights. Customers impacted by the changes are being contacted directly with updated travel information and assistance.
The airline reaffirmed its commitment to restoring its full flight schedule as quickly as possible without compromising safety. AirBorneo also thanked passengers for their patience and understanding while it continues to maintain air connectivity across Sabah and Sarawak.
