Calidus Launches AlDeraa: Advanced Defence Against Drone Threats

Calidus Launches AlDeraa: Advanced Defence Against Drone Threats

Post by : Badri Ariffin

Calidus Holding Group, a leading name in defence and manufacturing, has announced the development of AlDeraa, a cutting-edge short-range air defence system. The system is specifically designed to tackle the rising threats posed by unmanned aerial vehicles, including drones and loitering munitions such as kamikaze drones.

The AlDeraa system is built for rapid deployment on both mobile and fixed platforms, with adaptability to different operational environments. Its design emphasizes high readiness, reliability, and swift response, ensuring protection of vital assets in complex battlefield conditions.

Equipped with advanced sensors, AlDeraa integrates seamlessly with C2 (Command and Control) and C4I (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence) systems. This modular approach allows the creation of multi-layered tactical air defence networks, enhancing detection, tracking, and neutralisation of aerial threats.

The system addresses asymmetric threats by targeting low-cost, widely available drones and loitering munitions. With capabilities for both soft-kill and hard-kill measures, it enhances threat classification accuracy and enables rapid, graduated responses to multiple targets, including swarms.

AlDeraa represents a practical and innovative solution in short-range air defence, combining operational efficiency with tactical flexibility. Its deployment ensures that ground formations and critical infrastructure are shielded against emerging aerial threats while remaining lightweight, customisable, and logistically efficient.
