In collaboration with the Community Development Authority (CDA), the Dubai Land Department (DLD) has successfully concluded the second phase of the Barwa Programme. This initiative included a series of engaging workshops aimed at boosting real estate awareness among senior citizens and People of Determination. A total of 169 participants were involved in these informative sessions, which focused on presenting various services and initiatives tailored for these communities.
These workshops are part of the joint efforts by the DLD and CDA to enhance community engagement, improve accessibility to real estate services, and align with the Dubai Government's commitment to deliver proactive, customer-centric services that enrich quality of life.
The Barwa Programme has shown a remarkable increase in participants' understanding of real estate services.
In the workshop held at Al Barsha Community Centre, participant satisfaction jumped from 59% to 90%. Similarly, meetings at Thukher – Al Wasl and Thukher – Al Khawaneej saw satisfaction soar from 50% to 90%.
The programme achieved an impressive overall customer happiness rate of 94%, showcasing its effectiveness in enhancing participant experiences and fulfilling its objectives.
Throughout the workshops, participants were acquainted with the Barwa Programme and its community-driven vision. The sessions emphasized real estate services tailored for senior citizens and People of Determination, offering clear guidance on legal procedures and pertinent regulations.
The programme representatives addressed queries about real estate services, aiding participants in comprehending their rights and available assistance. Attendees learned how to utilize services via digital platforms along with private-sector partnerships facilitated by the Al Hasela Initiative.
The workshops fostered dynamic discussions between participants and programme leaders. This interaction highlighted noticeable gains in participants' understanding of real estate services and increased knowledge of the Barwa Programme's initiatives.
The quality of inquiries and discussions also provided the Dubai Land Department and Community Development Authority valuable insights into the expectations and suggestions of senior citizens and People of Determination, helping both entities better serve the community.
The Barwa Programme stands as the first sustainable social and humanitarian real estate initiative in the region. Its aim is to empower senior citizens and People of Determination to manage their real estate affairs more autonomously through a mix of field services, digital solutions, and advisory support.
The programme includes various dedicated initiatives, such as Al Barzah, Al Karani, Al Tarash, Al Mersal, Al Kaitoob, and Al Hasela. It also offers specialized real estate awareness programmes designed to demystify complex information and enhance understanding of real estate rights, available services, and support.
The series of workshops concluded with a collaborative meeting between the teams from Dubai Land Department and Community Development Authority. During this session, both organizations assessed the programme's achievements, impact, and exchanged valuable insights and best practices.
The dialogue also addressed the real estate-related needs of senior citizens and People of Determination, reinforcing efforts to develop more inclusive and customer-centric services.
A significant outcome from the workshops was an agreement to fortify institutional collaboration between DLD and CDA. They also committed to reviewing participant feedback and suggestions to enhance future services and initiatives.
The discussions explored avenues for expanding joint programmes, enriching real estate awareness content, and bolstering communication and support channels for senior citizens and People of Determination.
These outcomes underline the necessity of sustaining regular real estate awareness initiatives, simplifying communication for target communities, and increasing cooperation among governmental entities to provide more accessible and seamless services.
The Barwa Programme exemplifies a collaborative framework between Dubai Land Department and Community Development Authority aimed at delivering services that meet community demands, enhance living standards, and create enduring social benefits.
The initiative is in line with the objectives of Dubai Social Agenda 33, empowering senior citizens and People of Determination, fostering social inclusion, improving access to governmental services, and contributing to a more connected and sustainable society through a user-focused service design approach.
