Beringrive United from the UAE etched their name in the history books on Sunday by clinching the inaugural Asian Minifootball Clubs Championship. In a nail-biting final held in Jakarta, they narrowly defeated Lebanon's Al-Ata’a 4–3, showcasing a gripping match that kept the fans on the edge of their seats.
The final was an electrifying encounter, characterized by a fierce competition between the two teams. Beringrive United began with assertiveness, yet Al-Ata’a put up a formidable fight, making it clear they were not to be taken lightly. The match was a flurry of offensive displays, captivating spectators both in the stadium and those watching globally.
With the score locked at 3–3 nearing the end of regulation time, it appeared the match could extend into extra time. However, in a dramatic twist, Beringrive United struck decisively in the dying moments, netting the winning goal. This moment became a defining highlight, exemplifying the team's tenacity and strength in crucial situations.
Star player Yousuf Ali was instrumental to this victory, contributing two goals and providing inspiration through his stellar performance. He, along with Ahmed Hassan and Adam Ibrahim—who both contributed a goal each—demonstrated remarkable teamwork and composure, leading the team to the thrilling 4–3 finish.
The championship took place in Jakarta from November 17 to 23, featuring 12 teams from various Asian nations, organized into three groups. Each group saw four teams compete, with the top two from each group qualifying for the quarter-finals, alongside the best third-placed teams, intensifying the tournament's competitive spirit.
