Post by : Badri Ariffin

His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, the Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, graced the Partners Forum ceremony hosted by the Sharjah Judicial Council at the Sharjah Research, Technology, and Innovation Park.

The event commenced with the UAE national anthem, followed by a recitation from the Holy Quran, creating a formal atmosphere for esteemed officials and judicial leaders.

Judicial Leadership Emphasizes Development Vision

Judge Dr Mohammed Obaid Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Judicial Department, underscored that the persistent evolution of Sharjah's judicial framework mirrors the vision set by His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi. He reaffirmed that the rule of law is essential in safeguarding rights and ensuring justice.

He also pointed out that significant modernization efforts have enhanced the efficiency and quality of judicial services, aligning them with the long-term objectives of the emirate.

Progressing Towards Digital Justice in Sharjah

Al Kaabi emphasized the shift towards a cutting-edge “Digital Justice” model, which has revolutionized traditional judicial processes through advanced digital litigation systems. This approach prioritizes user experience, significantly improving accessibility, speed, and transparency.

He mentioned that this evolution was facilitated by strong cooperation among internal teams and strategic partners, transforming operational challenges into innovative digital solutions.

Future Strategy Aimed at Judicial Foresight

The Judicial Department also presented its forward-looking strategy focusing on “Judicial Foresight,” which aims to implement emerging technologies and enhance institutional integration to sustain excellence and improve service delivery across the judicial landscape.

Recognizing Key Achievements and Cooperation

A presentation at the forum highlighted remarkable achievements, including the formation of 14 internal teams aimed at boosting operational efficiency. Furthermore, it showcased thorough coordination with both federal and local entities to promote knowledge sharing, digital integration, and human capital growth.

Several partnerships were formalized to fortify institutional affiliations.

Introduction of Digital Rental Disputes Platform

In a significant development, the Deputy Ruler launched the Digital Rental Disputes Platform, designed to streamline processes for addressing rental conflicts. This platform supports virtual hearings and ensures the secure issuance and archiving of judicial rulings within a digital framework.

The platform was conceived in partnership with the “Aqari” platform from the Sharjah Digital Department, symbolizing a profound leap in judicial digital transformation.

Robust Indicators in the Rental Market

The forum also featured statistics from 2025, revealing over 360,000 registered rental contracts, indicative of strong real estate activity in the emirate. Additionally, the Rental Disputes Centre resolved more than 15,000 cases, showcasing enhanced efficiency in resolving disputes.

Recognizing Strategic Partners

The event culminated in honoring strategic partners and supportive organizations for their roles in judicial development, with commemorative shields awarded to encourage ongoing collaboration in strengthening Sharjah’s governmental ecosystem.

Present at the event were senior officials, members of the ruling family, heads of government departments, judicial leaders, and representatives from federal and local institutions.
