Abu Dhabi: His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, conducted a series of high-profile meetings with executives from prominent Chinese companies, enhancing the UAE-China comprehensive strategic partnership.
These discussions emphasized the importance of economic collaboration and unveiled new possibilities for sustainable development in areas like energy, petrochemicals, biopharmaceuticals, cutting-edge technology, renewable resources, and electronics.
In a meeting with Dai Houliang, Chairman of China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), strategies to boost cooperation in the energy sector were discussed. Key points included clean energy solutions, bolstering supply chains, and reinforcing energy security at both regional and global levels.
Separately, talks with Liao Zengtai, Chairman of Wanhua Chemical Group, revolved around enhancing collaboration within the manufacturing sector, stressing the role of advanced technologies in improving operational efficiency and promoting sustainability.
The Crown Prince also engaged with Eric Tse, CEO of Sino Biopharmaceutical Limited, about prospects in the biopharmaceutical field. Focus was placed on research and development opportunities, including the integration of artificial intelligence to strengthen healthcare infrastructures and pharmaceutical security.
Furthermore, discussions with Robin Zeng Yuqun, Founder and CEO of Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL), a leader in lithium-ion battery tech, addressed energy efficiency advancements, knowledge sharing in battery manufacturing, and supporting smart mobility solutions towards achieving Net Zero targets.
These engagements signify the UAE’s unwavering dedication to fortifying its strategic partnership with China and fostering sustainable economic growth across critical global sectors.
