Dubai Chamber Boosts Food Supply Chain Resilience

Dubai Chamber Boosts Food Supply Chain Resilience

Post by : Shakul

Dubai, United Arab Emirates — The Dubai Chamber of Commerce recently held a strategic meeting with the Fruit and Vegetable Traders Business Group to address availability of essential goods and strengthen the sustainability of the food trade sector. The discussions focused on ways to enhance market resilience and competitiveness while ensuring imports flow smoothly from a wider range of sources.

The session, attended by Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, looked closely at the priorities of companies operating in the fruit and vegetable trade. Participants explored practical measures to diversify sourcing channels, reinforce supply chains, and improve operational efficiency as businesses adapt to changing global conditions.

Representatives from the business group underscored Dubai’s strong and adaptable business environment, stressing that partnerships between the public and private sectors are key to maintaining the availability of essential goods even during pressure on supply chains. They also praised government efforts to support the business community in all conditions.

Lootah reiterated the chamber’s commitment to working closely with Business Groups, Business Councils, and relevant government entities to monitor developments, anticipate future challenges, and develop practical solutions that safeguard the emirate’s competitiveness and bolster its role in global trade. The meeting is part of a broader series of engagements aimed at strengthening sector readiness as economic conditions evolve.
