The Dubai Future Foundation has successfully wrapped up its second edition of the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI) Accelerator Programme, bringing together top AI innovators from the UAE and beyond. This year’s initiative concentrated on developing cutting-edge AI solutions aimed at enhancing the speed, quality, and efficiency of government services across Dubai. Out of over 1,300 applications from global tech entrepreneurs and firms, DCAI selected the most promising candidates who tackled challenges based on 105 use cases submitted by more than 20 government departments.
During the demo day, the chosen innovators unveiled the collaborative solutions created alongside government partners. This significant event was attended by Chief AI Officers from various public sector organizations. Highlights included enterprise GenAI productivity tools, AI systems for safeguarding archaeological artefacts, smart assistants for customer support teams, predictive financial tools, AI-driven population surveys, and digital health self-assessment tools for patients. Additional innovations featured AI agents for managing customer complaints, smart ambulance dispatch systems, sports itinerary planners, and automated data handling solutions.
Saeed Al Falasi, Executive Director of DCAI, remarked that the second edition of the programme showcased robust collaboration between public and private sectors. He elaborated that these innovative solutions are aligned with the aims of the Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence. The demo day also included a panel discussion focused on advancing public sector innovation, featuring senior AI leaders from the Department of Finance, Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, and the Dubai Health Authority.
A significant advantage for participating companies is the full retention of their intellectual property rights. They gain chances to collaborate directly with government bodies to reimagine services through AI technology while building valuable connections with decision-makers and exploring growth opportunities across local, regional, and global markets.
