Dubai’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has opened applications for the prestigious Hamdan bin Mohammed Scholarship Programme for the 2026–27 academic year. The initiative aims to support academically outstanding Emirati students by providing access to higher education opportunities at leading global universities.
Launched under the vision of Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the programme is designed to nurture future leaders and build a knowledge-based economy. Each year, around 100 top-performing students are selected to pursue undergraduate studies in high-demand fields at internationally ranked institutions.
The scholarship offers comprehensive financial support, covering tuition fees, living expenses, travel costs, and other academic needs. Applicants must be UAE nationals from Dubai, typically aged between 17 and 20, with strong academic records and confirmed admission to approved universities. Applications are submitted through the “Dubai Now” platform within a specified deadline.
Officials say the programme is a key part of Dubai’s long-term education strategy, aligned with initiatives like the Dubai Social Agenda 2033. By investing in high-achieving students and equipping them with global exposure, the emirate aims to develop skilled professionals who can contribute to its future economic growth and innovation.
