Dubai Unveils Dubai-it Award to Celebrate Remarkable Achievements

Post by : Badri Ariffin

Dubai has rolled out an innovative annual award program focused on recognizing exceptional accomplishments across multiple sectors such as government, business, technology, education, and real estate. The Dubai-it Award, unveiled under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, aims to celebrate individuals, organizations, and projects exemplifying the emirate’s ethos of excellence and swift execution.

Announced by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Deputy Prime Minister, the initiative seeks to strengthen the principles associated with the Dubai-it philosophy. The award is intended to honor those who successfully turn ambitious concepts into tangible and measurable outcomes swiftly.

The recognition program aims to reward achievements demonstrating innovation, efficiency, and a robust commitment to results. According to the award framework, qualifying entries should reflect Dubai’s vision of making dreams a reality while fostering a culture steeped in accountability and extraordinary execution.

Presented annually, the Dubai-it Award encompasses multiple sectors vital to the emirate’s growth. Different categories have been established for projects, institutions, and individuals whose work has made significant impacts.

One of the project categories includes an award for a government initiative that has showcased exceptional outcomes through rapid and effective implementation. Additionally, another category will spotlight technology-driven projects that have turned innovative concepts into sustainable results. Educational initiatives promoting accountability and achievement aligned with Dubai's work philosophy will also be recognized.

There will also be a dedicated category for the real estate sector, aimed at developments that have generated meaningful urban, social, or economic benefits for the city. Evaluation criteria will focus on contributions to Dubai’s overall growth and impact.

Institutional excellence is also a pivotal aspect of the awards. One category will commend a government entity that has successfully instilled a culture of achievement within its operations, while another will recognize a company achieving significant transformations in performance or market presence.

On an individual level, the award includes distinctions for government project managers who have effectively translated visions into impactful results through diligent planning. Entrepreneurs who have launched successful ventures that create substantial impact in a short timeframe will also be acknowledged.

His Excellency Mohammad Al Gergawi, Chairman of The Executive Office of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, remarked that the award embodies His Highness’s vision, which emphasizes that true success is gauged through actionable outcomes rather than mere ideas.

Al Gergawi elaborated that ideas are valuable only when they manifest as projects or initiatives that enhance people’s lives and shape the future. The introduction of the Dubai-it Award reinforces Dubai's ongoing dedication to turning ambitions into real achievements through precision, excellence, and agility.

He pointed out Dubai’s successful track record in realizing ambitious projects across various sectors, noting the emirate’s ability in converting aspirational concepts into remarkable achievements. As stated by Al Gergawi, this new accolade aims to highlight such success stories and acknowledge the individuals and entities behind them.

The award will focus particularly on initiatives yielding measurable impact, that surpass expectations, enhance operational methods, and create new opportunities. Such feats exemplify Dubai’s proficiency in executing plans rapidly while adhering to high-quality standards.

Al Gergawi also emphasized that the Dubai-it philosophy transcends mere words; it serves as a comprehensive framework dedicated to effective implementation and yielding real results. He credited this mindset for helping Dubai achieve significant development milestones and bolstering its position globally as a role model for innovation and growth.

The Dubai-it Award is part of the larger Dubai-it initiative established by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, aimed at instilling Dubai’s work culture in future generations and embedding this ethos within both public and private sectors.
