The Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA) has launched an innovative Aviation Consumer Welfare Directive, aiming to bolster passenger rights throughout the city's aviation sector. This initiative features a specific service focused on improving interactions among passengers, airlines, and authorized travel agents.
This directive serves as a comprehensive regulatory framework that clearly defines passengers' rights and specifies the obligations of airlines and travel agents. A structured complaint-handling system has also been established, whereby the DCAA acts as a neutral intermediary to guarantee fairness and transparency, aligning with international benchmarks.
Now, travelers can conveniently submit complaints and feedback via the DCAA’s official website. This system allows users to monitor their inquiries, enhancing transparency and refining the overall customer experience.
H.E. Mohammed Abdulla Lengawi, Director General of the DCAA, indicated that the launch underscores the authority’s dedication to improving passenger protection and fortifying Dubai’s aviation landscape. He emphasized that the initiative is designed to elevate service quality and foster increased trust among travelers.
The DCAA is encouraging travelers to familiarize themselves with the directive and utilize the new service to better understand their rights and ensure a seamless travel experience. Airlines and authorized travel agents are also advised to support the initiative, contributing to a more robust and efficient aviation environment in Dubai.
