DWTC Hospitality Reports Record-Breaking Attendance in 2025

Post by : Badri Ariffin

Dubai: The Dubai World Trade Centre's (DWTC) hospitality sector has achieved remarkable success in 2025, welcoming 1.28 million guests through 2,578 events—a 37% growth from 930,000 guests in the previous year.

These outstanding results bolster DWTC Hospitality's status as a top provider of tailored catering solutions for governmental, corporate, and private sector clients across the region.

Strong Venue Presence

The division expanded significantly at key venues such as the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, Dubai Exhibition Centre, and Jafza One Convention Centre.

They also managed numerous off-site and private events throughout the UAE, showcasing their adaptability and extensive reach.

Insights from Leadership

Mahir Julfar, Executive Vice President at DWTC, emphasized their role in enhancing Dubai’s event environment. He mentioned the division's ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional service while expanding operations to address the rising global demand.

He added that investments in infrastructure and talent, along with the ongoing expansion of the Dubai Exhibition Centre, aim to support future major events while bolstering Dubai’s international standing.

Exhibition Catering Sees Remarkable Growth

The exhibition catering segment has shown significant progress in 2025, serving over 240,000 guests, which is more than twice the number from the previous year’s 120,000.

This success can be attributed to major events like Gulfood, World Health Expo Dubai, Arabian Travel Market, and GITEX Global.

Their international outreach was also clear, as DWTC Hospitality supported GITEX Africa, showcasing their global capabilities.

Conferences and Business Events Thrive

The segment focusing on conferences and business meetings also thrived, accommodating over 123,000 attendees, demonstrating Dubai's emergence as a favorite destination for prestigious global business events.

Corporate and Private Events on the Rise

Corporate and private events have continued to thrive, serving over 600,000 guests compared to 400,000 in 2024.

Notably, the weddings segment also excelled, with 56,554 guests, highlighting DWTC Hospitality’s skill in delivering personalized and large-scale experiences.

Expanding Venue Capacities

The growth of venues like the Dubai Exhibition Centre and Jafza One Convention Centre has significantly enhanced capacity, collectively hosting over 80,000 guests.

This multi-venue approach allows DWTC to accommodate more events while upholding superior service standards.

Steady Growth in Off-Site Catering

Off-site operations have also seen a 12% increase, serving over 160,000 guests at 1,211 events.

They supported major events such as the Dubai International Boat Show, Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Dubai World Cup, MEBAA Show, and gatherings at Ain Dubai.

Looking ahead, DWTC Hospitality plans to elevate event hospitality standards through investments in culinary innovation, sustainability, and strategic partnerships.

As Dubai’s event industry evolves, the division is poised to play a pivotal role in shaping the next growth phase, reinforcing the emirate’s status as a global center for premier business and events.
