In collaboration with the Emergencies, Crises and Disasters Management Centre – Abu Dhabi, high-ranking officials from the healthcare sector in Abu Dhabi carried out a field assessment focusing on patient care and the readiness of treatment facilities in light of ongoing regional developments.
His Excellency Mansoor Ibrahim Al Mansoori, Chairman of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH), visited patients at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City. This visit was aimed at evaluating their medical conditions, reviewing treatment plans, and ensuring the highest standards of healthcare delivery.
Accompanying him were several influential healthcare figures, including Her Excellency Dr Noura Khamis Al Ghaithi, Dr Marwan Alkaab, CEO of Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City, His Excellency Dr Rashid Obaid Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre, and His Excellency Dr Abdulla Rashid Hamarain Al Dhaheri from the Response and Recovery Sector.
During this visit, officials engaged with patients and their families, obtaining extensive updates from medical teams regarding case progress and treatment solutions. These discussions underscored the significance of a cohesive healthcare approach that accommodates both clinical and emotional needs.
Al Mansoori reiterated that Abu Dhabi’s healthcare system operates efficiently, underpinned by advanced, intelligence-driven infrastructure. This framework allows for real-time coordination, anticipates demand surges, and guarantees uninterrupted healthcare services, regardless of circumstances.
He highlighted the crucial role of the Unified Medical Operations Command Centre, which enhances visibility across the system, facilitates predictive planning, and enables swift responses throughout the healthcare network.
“The safety, wellbeing, and care of our community remain our top priorities,” Al Mansoori affirmed. “Meeting patients and their families strengthens our commitment to ensuring each individual feels supported and cared for.”
He concluded by stating that Abu Dhabi’s health system is designed for resilience, operating seamlessly across various entities to ensure service continuity while maintaining the highest standards of care for the community.
