Arsenal's head coach Mikel Arteta has announced that defender Gabriel Magalhaes will be sidelined for several weeks following an injury incurred during international duty with Brazil. The 25-year-old, a pivotal figure in Arsenal’s robust defense, sustained a thigh injury while participating in Brazil’s 2-0 friendly win against Senegal at the Emirates Stadium last weekend. Arteta mentioned that another scan is scheduled for next week to evaluate the full extent of Gabriel's injury.
Gabriel has been instrumental in Arsenal’s defensive scheme, establishing a solid partnership with William Saliba. This duo has significantly contributed to the Gunners conceding merely five goals over their last 11 Premier League matches.
