Under the honored patronage of Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, the graduation ceremony for the 24th batch of officer cadets at the Sharjah Police Academy took place with notable presence from Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi.
Conducted at the academy's University City headquarters, the event also recognized university graduates who completed the necessary program to achieve the rank of lieutenant. Welcoming the Deputy Ruler were senior officials, including Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi and Sheikh Dr Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi, alongside police and academic leaders.
Beginning with the national anthem and a Quranic recitation, Brigadier Dr Mohammed Khamis Al-Othmani, the Academy's Director, addressed attendees, underscoring the graduation as a testament to the UAE's unwavering commitment to security, stability, and educational advancement.
He reiterated that the progress in safety and development aligns with the vision set by Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, expressing gratitude for the continuous support from Sharjah's leadership in enhancing police education and training.
The Academy's evolution is marked by the adoption of advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence and virtual training systems, aimed at equipping future officers with essential theoretical knowledge and practical skills for contemporary security demands.
The ceremony featured a presentation illustrating the Academy's role in developing skilled security personnel, followed by a disciplined military parade showcasing the cadets’ training and preparedness.
The Deputy Ruler recognized top graduates with the prestigious Sword of Honour and acknowledged the Parade Commander. The event also signified the symbolic transfer of the flag from the 24th to the 25th batch, highlighting a tradition of continuity and responsibility.
After taking their official oath, graduates marked the start of their service to the nation. The ceremony concluded with a group photograph and the award of certificates by Major General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police.
This graduating class comprised 44 officer cadets who completed an intensive four-year program that blends police sciences with field training and legal studies. In addition, 12 graduates successfully finished a specialized program qualifying them for the rank of lieutenant, emphasizing legal knowledge, policing abilities, and leadership growth.
This achievement highlights the UAE's dedication to forming a well-trained, future-ready security force.
