Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have announced plans to target 18 leading US technology companies starting April 1, accusing them of complicity in the targeted assassination of Iranian officials. The firms named include Apple, Google, Meta, IBM, Tesla, Boeing, Microsoft, Intel, and others.
In a public statement, the Guards declared these companies “terrorist firms” responsible for aiding in the assassination of senior Iranian leaders. The statement warned employees to leave their workplaces immediately to protect their lives and advised residents within a one-kilometre radius of these firms to evacuate.
The move follows escalating tensions after the US and Israel allegedly killed several top Iranian leaders, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and Revolutionary Guards commander Mohammad Pakpour, at the start of the conflict in late February. Iran claims these strikes are part of a coordinated effort by the US and Israel to dismantle its leadership.
Despite ongoing diplomatic efforts by the US government under President Donald Trump, who has expressed willingness to end the conflict, Iran has intensified its rhetoric and threats. The Revolutionary Guards condemned the tech giants for ignoring prior warnings to stop supporting operations targeting Iranian officials and vowed retaliation.
