Post by : Raman

Veteran Kannada actor and theatre artist Raju Talikote passed away at the age of 62 due to a heart attack while shooting a film in Udupi, Karnataka. The actor was admitted to Kasturba Hospital early Sunday morning following health complications and could not survive after an angioplasty procedure. His family confirmed the sad news, and his last rites will be held in Chikkasindagi village, Karnataka.

Raju Talikote, known for his work in theatre and Kannada cinema, is survived by his two wives, two sons, and three daughters. His son revealed that Talikote had previously suffered a heart attack but was unable to recover from this recent one.

Tributes have poured in from the film and political community. Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar expressed deep sorrow, calling Raju Talikote’s death a huge loss to the Kannada film industry and prayed for peace for his soul. Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar also mourned the actor, calling him an irreplaceable talent in theatre and cinema.
