The Malaysian Football League has confirmed that ticket prices for the upcoming Malaysia Cup final will remain unchanged, offering relief to fans despite increasing organizational costs. The final will feature Johor Darul Ta'zim and Kuching City FC at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil on May 23.
The decision was announced by MFL Chief Executive Officer Mohd Shazli Shaik Mohd, who emphasized the league’s commitment to keeping football accessible for supporters. He noted that maintaining ticket prices is aimed at encouraging strong fan turnout for the highly anticipated match.
Ticket prices will remain in four categories, starting with general admission options priced at RM50 and RM70. Premium tickets are set at RM150, while VIP Grandstand seats will be available for RM200, offering a range of options for fans.
Despite rising costs related to organizing large-scale sporting events, the league chose not to increase prices. This move is expected to help fans plan their attendance early and support their teams without additional financial burden.
Ticket sales for the final will be handled directly by the two finalist clubs, following the same system used in previous seasons. This approach is considered more organized and ensures fair distribution among supporters.
Fans are advised to stay updated through official announcements from both clubs regarding ticket availability and purchase details. The early confirmation of pricing is expected to boost excitement ahead of the final.
The Malaysia Cup final remains one of the most prestigious football events in the country, and the decision to maintain ticket prices highlights the league’s focus on fan engagement and accessibility.
