Representatives from leading Malaysian universities visited Turkmenistan to strengthen academic ties and promote international education opportunities among local students. The visit highlights the growing cooperation between the two countries in the field of higher education and student exchange.
The delegation participated in the international exhibition Turkmen Travel 2026, where they presented a national pavilion showcasing academic programs, scholarships, and study opportunities available in Malaysia. The exhibition provided Turkmen students with valuable insights into global education pathways and international learning environments.
As part of their visit, the Malaysian representatives also toured the World of Languages Language Center, a key institution under the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan. During their interaction with students from various higher education institutions, the atmosphere remained warm and engaging, encouraging open dialogue and exchange of ideas.
Students actively participated in discussions, asking questions about studying in Malaysia, campus life, and international programs. In response, the visiting delegates emphasized the importance of language skills and global exposure in today’s interconnected world, encouraging students to pursue opportunities beyond national borders.
Speaking at the event, Tajul Ariffin Bin Shamsuddin from Petronas University of Technology expressed appreciation for the warm reception. He noted that such interactions play a vital role in inspiring young people and building long-term educational partnerships between nations.
The visit not only strengthened educational cooperation but also provided a platform for cultural exchange and mutual understanding. It reflected a shared commitment to empowering youth through knowledge, skills, and international collaboration.
Overall, the engagement demonstrated how global academic partnerships can open new opportunities for students, broaden their perspectives, and contribute to the development of a more connected and knowledge-driven world.
