Murakami Farm Boosts Taiwan Sprout Sales

Murakami Farm Boosts Taiwan Sprout Sales

Post by : Shakul

Japan-based Murakami Farm Co., Ltd. has reported strong growth in its overseas business, with sales of “Broccoli Super Sprouts” in the Taiwan region doubling year-on-year in FY2025. The growth comes through its licensing partnership with Taiwanese company Greenvines, which produces and markets the sprouts locally.

Murakami Farm, known for holding a leading share in Japan’s sprout market, entered the Taiwan market through a licensing agreement in 2021, with product shipments beginning in 2022. The company has transferred its expertise in seed selection, production techniques, quality control, and marketing to its partner, helping ensure consistent product standards.

The surge in demand is largely driven by rising health awareness among consumers in the Taiwan region. Broccoli Super Sprouts are rich in sulforaphane, a compound linked to potential health benefits, making them increasingly popular among health-conscious individuals. Additionally, strong trust in Japanese product quality and safety has contributed to the product’s growing acceptance.

Murakami Farm also ensures strict quality checks by monitoring sulforaphane levels through its specialized laboratory, maintaining consistency with products sold in Japan. The company sees this success as a key step in expanding its overseas licensing model, with plans to further strengthen its presence in Asia and tap into the growing global demand for functional and health-focused food products.
