Nora Fatehi Song Row Track Taken Down

Nora Fatehi Song Row Track Taken Down

Post by : Shakul

The Hindi version of Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke, featuring Nora Fatehi and Sanjay Dutt, has been taken down following massive backlash over its alleged vulgar lyrics and suggestive visuals. The song, part of the upcoming film KD: The Devil, was removed shortly after a formal complaint was filed with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

The controversy erupted after the Hindi version of the track, released in mid-March, drew criticism across social media platforms. While some viewers appreciated the dance performance, many users objected to the lyrics and choreography, calling them inappropriate and offensive, especially for younger audiences.

An advocate submitted a complaint seeking an immediate ban, alleging that the song contains “vulgar and sexually suggestive content” that could negatively impact public decency. The complaint also highlighted legal concerns under provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, and the Information Technology Act, 2000. A separate complaint was also reportedly filed with the Delhi Police Cyber Cell.

Despite the removal of the Hindi version, the song continues to be available in other languages, including Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. The track is composed by Arjun Janya, written by Raqueeb Aalam and sung by Mangli.

The film, directed by Prem, is set in the 1970s and follows the story of an underworld criminal. It stars Dhruva Sarja along with Sanjay Dutt and others, and is scheduled for release on April 30, 2026.

The incident has once again sparked debate over censorship, creative freedom and the regulation of digital content in India, particularly when it comes to material accessible to minors.
