Nvidia has announced a major collaboration with South Korea’s LG Group to accelerate the development of humanoid robots and next-generation artificial intelligence data centers. The announcement was made by Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang during his visit to Seoul, where he met with LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo to discuss future technology initiatives.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Huang revealed that Nvidia and LG are working closely on advanced robotics technologies. The partnership focuses on integrating LG’s expertise in motor technology and mechanical engineering with Nvidia’s artificial intelligence and computing platforms to create more capable and intelligent humanoid robots.
The collaboration reflects the growing global race to commercialize humanoid robotics. As industries face labor shortages, rising operational costs, and increasing demand for automation, companies are investing heavily in robots that can perform complex physical tasks while interacting naturally with humans. Nvidia's AI platforms are expected to play a key role in enabling these capabilities.
Beyond robotics, the two companies are also expanding cooperation in the data center sector. Huang said Nvidia and LG are jointly exploring the architecture of future AI-powered data centers designed to support increasingly demanding artificial intelligence workloads. These facilities are expected to become critical infrastructure for next-generation digital services, cloud computing, and AI applications.
The announcement highlights Nvidia’s broader strategy of building partnerships across Asia to strengthen its position in the rapidly growing AI ecosystem. South Korea remains one of the world's leading technology hubs, making collaborations with major industrial groups such as LG strategically important for Nvidia’s long-term expansion plans.
Industry experts believe that combining Nvidia’s leadership in AI chips and software with LG’s manufacturing and engineering capabilities could create significant opportunities in emerging sectors. Humanoid robots are increasingly viewed as one of the next major frontiers in artificial intelligence, with applications ranging from factories and logistics centers to healthcare and customer service.
As global demand for AI infrastructure and intelligent machines continues to rise, the partnership between Nvidia and LG could help accelerate innovation in both robotics and data center technologies. The collaboration also signals growing confidence that AI-driven automation will play a central role in shaping the future economy and industrial landscape.
