American golfer Patrick Reed was crowned champion of the 2026 Hero Dubai Desert Classic at Emirates Golf Club, finishing at 14 under par and winning by a four-shot margin. This marks Reed's fourth title on the DP World Tour and his first win in a Rolex Series event.
Starting the final round with a four-stroke advantage, Reed took a measured approach on the front nine, recording eight pars and one bogey. His lead narrowed to two strokes as Spain's David Puig excelled with birdies on holes eight and nine.
Reed made a strong comeback during the back nine, scoring birdies on holes 10 and 13, while Puig faltered with a bogey on the 13th. Reed restored his four-shot lead and maintained it, ultimately finishing with five consecutive pars to secure his win.
Post-victory, Reed acknowledged the challenges of the round but credited his patience and focus on fairways and greens. He also expressed gratitude to his caddie for his support.
Andy Sullivan claimed the second spot at 10 under par, while Julien Guerrier of France took third at nine under. Nicolai Højgaard, Francesco Molinari, and Jayden Schaper trailed by one shot, and David Puig finished at seven under after a two-shot penalty on the last hole.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum presented the prestigious Dallah Trophy to Reed amidst a sizeable crowd at Emirates Golf Club, which included prominent officials and business figures attending the ceremony.
Amateur golfer Christiaan Maas from South Africa was honored with the Leading Amateur award. The tournament also featured engaging junior competitions, entertainment for families, and sustainability initiatives.
The Hero Dubai Desert Classic remains a leading golf event in the Middle East, with promises of an even grander scale for 2027.
