Public Voting Launches for 16th Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai

The Globe Soccer Awards organizing committee has officially commenced public voting for the 16th edition of the prestigious awards ceremony. Scheduled to take place on December 28 at Atlantis The Royal in Dubai, football enthusiasts worldwide can now vote for their preferred players, clubs, and coaches across numerous categories.

This year features approximately 15 categories, with nine available for public voting until November 27 to establish the final nominees. Following this, a second voting phase will ensue from December 3 to December 11, determining the winners. The ultimate outcomes will merge public votes with insights from an expert jury comprising renowned football figures, such as Marcelo Lippi, Francesco Totti, Iker Casillas, and Luis Figo.

Categories available for public voting include Best Player, Best Women’s Player, Best Men's Club, Best Women's Club, Best Coach, Best Midfielder, Best Forward, Best Emerging Player, and Best Middle East Player, inviting fans to partake in deciding the standout finalists.

Paris Saint-Germain leads the nominees' chart, featuring notably after their outstanding season in which they clinched the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, Ligue 1, and the French Cup. Eight players from PSG who triumphed in the Champions League are listed among the Best Player nominees, and the club's members are also present in the Best Midfielder, Best Forward, and Best Emerging Player categories.

Among the 25 elite international stars competing for the Best Player accolade are last year’s recipient Vinícius Júnior, Kylian Mbappé, Lamine Yamal, Harry Kane, and Mohamed Salah. In the women’s category, Spain's Aitana Bonmatí from Barcelona seeks to secure the Best Women’s Player award for an impressive third consecutive year, alongside a list of 25 players, including her Barcelona teammates and several members of the victorious England UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 squad.

Arsenal, recent winners of the UEFA Women’s Champions League, are contending for the Best Women’s Club award, while the Best Men’s Club category includes Paris Saint-Germain, Al Ahli Saudi, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, Liverpool, Napoli, Flamengo, and Pyramids.

Notable coach nominees encompass Paris Saint-Germain’s Luis Enrique, Chelsea’s Enzo Maresca, Liverpool’s Arne Slot, Napoli’s Antonio Conte, Bayern Munich’s Vincent Kompany, Barcelona’s Hansi Flick, Portugal’s Roberto Martinez, Real Madrid’s Xabi Alonso, Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta, and Newcastle United’s Eddie Howe.

For the Best Middle East Player award, Cristiano Ronaldo goes head-to-head with Salem Al Dawsari, Karim Benzema, Roberto Firmino, N’Golo Kanté, Riyad Mahrez, and Ivan Toney. Tommaso Bendoni, Founder and CEO of Globe Soccer, expressed excitement over Dubai hosting the event for the 16th consecutive year, underlining the city’s burgeoning reputation as a major venue for global sporting events and emphasizing that the awards will honor football’s top talents.

Additionally, during the Globe Soccer Awards, LaLiga plans to acknowledge winners from its 2024–2025 season, with honorees including Raphinha for Best Player, Hansi Flick for Best Coach, Lamine Yamal for Best Emerging Player, Luka Sučić for Best Goal, and Jan Oblak for Best Save.

The Globe Soccer Awards continue their mission of uniting fans and players globally, celebrating outstanding achievements while empowering the public to partake in recognizing excellence. This year's event is set to honor the top performers, coaches, and clubs in both men’s and women’s football, further solidifying Dubai’s stature as a hub for the sport.
