The 12th edition of the ET Edge GCC Summit 2026, co-powered by Avante Spaces, is set to take place in Pune this June, bringing together industry leaders, policymakers and Global Capability Centre (GCC) stakeholders to discuss the future direction of India’s rapidly expanding GCC sector.
Over the past two decades, India’s GCC ecosystem has evolved significantly from being primarily focused on cost efficiency to becoming a strategic hub for innovation, technology development and enterprise decision-making. The summit aims to explore the next stage of this transformation, where GCCs are increasingly expected to take ownership of business outcomes and play a larger role in shaping global corporate strategies.
Pune has emerged as one of India's key GCC destinations, supported by its strong engineering and manufacturing base, educational institutions and growing technology ecosystem. More than 120 GCCs currently operate in the city across sectors such as banking and financial services, automotive, information technology, pharmaceuticals and digital services.
The event comes at a time when Maharashtra is working towards attracting 400 new GCCs by 2030 through policy incentives, infrastructure development and investment support. The state government expects the initiative to generate substantial investments and create a large number of high-skilled employment opportunities.
Discussions at the summit will focus on several emerging priorities for GCCs, including the adoption of generative artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, workforce transformation, cybersecurity resilience, governance frameworks and environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices. Industry experts are also expected to examine how GCCs can move beyond operational execution and contribute directly to enterprise-wide decision-making and leadership.
A key segment of the summit will feature the ‘Impactful GCCs of India’ programme, which recognises organisations and leaders for contributions in areas such as innovation, AI adoption, talent development, governance and business transformation.
Industry projections indicate that India’s GCC market could surpass $110 billion by 2030. As GCCs continue to expand their influence across product development, automation, cybersecurity and digital transformation initiatives, the summit is expected to provide insights into how India can strengthen its position as a global centre for enterprise leadership and innovation.
The event will serve as a platform for discussions on the opportunities, challenges and strategic priorities that are expected to shape the next phase of India’s GCC journey.
