On Thursday, Qatar held a series of consultative sessions regarding the National Human Rights Action Plan (2026-2030), striving to establish a robust framework for promoting and safeguarding human rights.
These discussions were led by HE Minister of State for International Cooperation, Dr. Mariam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad, under the auspices of the committee charged with developing the national framework.
The meeting took place at the office of HE Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Ibrahim bin Ali bin Issa Al Hassan Al Mohannadi, where various committee members and specialists contributed to the deliberations.
Participants engaged in reviewing the Ministry of Justice’s roles and explored recommendations to support the evolution of the National Human Rights Action Plan, ensuring its conformity with Qatar’s national policies and existing laws.
This consultative approach embodies the committee's commitment to inclusivity, inviting diverse perspectives for crafting a practical and effective national strategy.
Concluding the session, attendees underscored the significance of the National Human Rights Action Plan as a foundational framework for advancing human rights throughout Qatar.
