Qatar Welcomes 15 New Judicial Experts Into Its System

Post by : Badri Ariffin

On Monday, the Ministry of Justice in Qatar officially welcomed 15 new experts by administering the legal oath, marking their inclusion in the Ministry's list of certified specialists recognized by the nation’s judicial system. This move aligns with Law No. (16) of 2017, which governs expert work within Qatar.

These newly appointed professionals hail from various backgrounds, including accounting, real estate, electrical engineering, architecture, survey engineering, banking, industrial management, industrial engineering, engineering project management, along with social expertise focusing on disabilities and autism. Their appointments are crafted to fortify Qatar's judicial expert framework and address the increasing demands within the nation’s legal sector.

Experts to Support Judicial Processes

Following the oath-taking ceremony, Abdullah Abu Shahab Al Marri, the Director of the Experts Department at the Ministry of Justice, praised the new experts and underscored the importance of their roles.

According to him, judicial experts are critical in providing judges with technical evidence and professional insights in cases that need specialized understanding. Their evaluations assist courts in navigating the technical facets of disputes, thereby expediting legal processes and enhancing the prompt delivery of verdicts. The ministry has asserted that expert opinions are crucial in achieving effective justice nationwide.

Ministry Aims to Enhance Expert Networks

Reiterating its commitment to expanding the national pool of experts, the Ministry of Justice’s Experts Department will continue to back skilled professionals who can propel Qatar's progress across various sectors while addressing the dynamic requirements of judicial entities.

The Ministry is also focused on establishing a cohesive environment that nurtures a world-class expertise system. This effort includes continuously introducing new areas of specialization that align with the demands of courts and relevant authorities.

Implications for Qatar's Judicial Framework

The introduction of these 15 accredited judicial experts is anticipated to bolster the technical support available to courts throughout Qatar. By enhancing expertise in diverse fields such as engineering, finance, real estate, and social services, the Ministry of Justice is striving to boost the effectiveness of legal proceedings and ensure judges have access to dependable professional assessments for complex cases.

Importance of Judicial Experts

Judicial experts deliver independent technical analyses in cases that delve into specialized areas necessitating knowledge beyond standard legal expertise. Their contributions aid judges in comprehending technical matters, which facilitates faster case resolutions and supports equitable judicial outcomes.
