As the Day of Arafah approaches, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has released important safety protocols for Hajj participants. Pilgrims are advised to remain within their Arafat camps until 4:00 PM on Dhu Al Hijjah 9 to protect themselves from the severe heat.
These measures have been put in place to minimize the risk of heat stress during the hottest parts of the day while pilgrims engage in this significant religious observance.
The ministry has also confirmed that the Arafah Day sermon will be transmitted live to all camps via both audio and visual technologies. This enables attendees to follow the sermon comfortably from their designated spots.
Pilgrims must adhere closely to pre-approved transportation schedules and movement plans during the Hajj. Authorities have cautioned against entering traffic routes or unauthorized areas, warning that such actions could hinder crowd management and cause delays in the movement between sacred locations.
Additionally, pilgrims are discouraged from climbing Jabal Al Rahmah due to risks associated with overcrowding and extreme temperatures.
Saudi officials emphasize that compliance with these directives will contribute to a safe, organized, and peaceful Hajj experience, while enhancing overall crowd control throughout the pilgrimage period.
