His Highness Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has given the green light for a substantial new bridge aimed at easing traffic congestion in the emirate.
This project will establish a three-lane bridge linking Mleiha Road directly to Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Bridge, situated at the intersection with Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Street. Total investment for this pivotal development is pegged at AED 140 million.
Construction is set to commence without delay, with completion anticipated within a year.
The bridge's design aims to facilitate smoother traffic flow in all directions and significantly minimize congestion in the vicinity. Officials project a reduction in travel time by approximately nine minutes, greatly benefiting motorists navigating one of Sharjah’s busiest thoroughfares.
This initiative is a vital component of Sharjah’s ongoing efforts to upgrade infrastructure, enhancing road connectivity and routine transport for both residents and visitors.
